Quilt Raffle Fundraiser

These are challenging times with COVID-19 and the recent wildfires that have ravaged our area leaving friends to evacuate temporarily and for some to lose their homes. “Stay safe” are the words we frequently hear now and we hope everyone is staying safe and that recoveries from the fires are going well.

In past years Watsonville Taiko members would be busy working on our Annual Holiday Boutique and Raffle but unfortunately because of COVID-19 we have had to cancel this event. Instead we will be holding a modified quilt raffle with the usual Asian inspired quilt grand prize made by Hiroshi Musselman and Bonnie Chihara. Sensei Ikuyo Conant has generously donated  a beautiful embroidered kimono which is being used as the main part of the quilt. Second prize is a quilt made by Helen Klee who has previously donated quilts for our raffle and is a dedicated  supporter of our group. We will also have three large gift basket prizes.

Tickets will be available November 15 and can be purchased from Watsonville Taiko members or by contacting our business manager Kay Miyamoto at info@watsonvilletaiko.org or by phone — 831-475-1088. Cost is $10 per ticket.

The drawing will be held on Sunday December 6th at 4pm and will be posted on our Facebook page. The winners will be promptly notified.
