Learn and practice Life Saving Listening Skills to Build Resilience!

3 Day Challenge – April 16 – 18, 9am

Free Resilience Challenge for Parents

The key ingredient to resilience is being able to experience all of our feelings, even the uncomfortable ones like fear, sadness, uncertainty, anger, anxiety, disappointment, hopelessness, and shame.

We all want resilience, to be able to bounce back when things don’t go our way, so why is it hard?
Most of us have spent our lives building up armor to avoid feeling uncomfortable by repressing, numbing, rationalizing or offloading our emotions AT others. But this armor is hard to remove when we want to connect.

Brene Brown says that the most important way to practice resilience / wholeheartedness is to share our stories with people we trust, that know how to listen with compassion and empathy, rather than sympathy, judgement or advice.

I learned this practice 15 years ago and developed it into Life Saving Listening Skills.

What it is:
Unique opportunity to be seen, heard and accepted. To speak without being interrupted.
A chance to be open and real without the threat of judgement nor advice.
Time to exchange the gift of listening and sharing with another.
Safe space with established ground rules so sharing what’s real, messy, ‘imperfect’ and vulnerable feels possible.

Why it matters:
Thanks to Life Saving Listening Skills (LSL), I have become less reactive and more able to connect in meaningful ways with my daughters.
We used to fight and misunderstand each other. LSL and the 5 Steps to Connect framework helped us to stop getting hooked in old patterns like taking things personally and directing our anger AT each other.
For most of us, the opportunity to be seen, heard and accepted is rare and fulfills deeply held needs.

What you will receive:
You’ll have the opportunity to learn Life Saving Listening skills in this challenge.
You will get a taste of how amazing it feels when you experience it, both as a listener and a speaker.
