Herbal wreath making workshop
Warmer weather is upon us and new growth is everywhere! We’re excited to get outside and enjoy the spectacular explosion of colors & fragrance as natures new life springs forth.
Join us on Sunday, 6/27 for a workshop, tour and lunch at iconic Thomas Farm with Jean Thomas!
We will be spending the day outdoors learning about herbs & how to arrange them into a fresh & fragrant herb wreath that can used for our culinary creations.
Our workshop begins with a tour of their farm with an exploration into the numerous properties and health benefits that herbs provide. Did you know that rosemary improves memory and is high in anti-fungal properties that neutralize inflammation and stress? All their herbs are grown organically & have numerous uses as flavoring for food & drink as well as medicinal properties for tinctures and teas.
Jean will assist us in making wreaths from the herbs & flora at their farm. The wreaths are very easy to make & is a creative, engaging & fun activity for both adults and kids! We encourage this as a family activity as well as for individuals.
Three ticket prices options:
• 1/ Single ticket is $50
• 2 /Couple ticket, (making one wreath only), is $80
• Children age 10 & under with their family (making one wreath with family) are $15 each and under age 3 are free.
A lite vegetarian lunch with a variety of seasonal appetizers, baked goods & beverages is included as part of the workshop. People are welcome to bring their own wine & food as well if they would like to picnic on the grounds.
