Beach Boardwalk Rides Closed

Boardwalk rides and mini golf are now closed due to Santa Cruz County re-entering the Red (Substantial) Tier. Bowling will be open until Friday at 11pm. Outdoor games, food, shopping and Boardwalk Racers, our new pedal karts attraction, remain open. Guests with upcoming Ride Access reservations will automatically be refunded. Please note that while the rides are only available to Santa Cruz County residents, a large portion of the Boardwalk with outdoor arcade games, miniature golf, food, and shopping is open to ALL guests.

General Information

  • Saturdays and Sundays, through November 29 a section of the Boardwalk will be open with 8‑10 rides.
  • Reservations are required to enter this ride area (per State of California guidelines).
  • The ride area is open for two sessions 12pm-2pm and 3pm-5pm. No in-and-out access.
  • Admission to the ride area is $25 and guests will receive a 25-point MyBoardwalk Card good for rides and games. Rides will cost Points and range in cost from 4-7 Points.
  • Season Pass Members with a Santa Cruz County zip code will receive free admission and rides, but reservations are required.

State of California guidelines for reopening amusement parks limit ticket sales to residents of Santa Cruz County only at this time. Ticket sales to residents of counties other than Santa Cruz County is prohibited at this time per State regulations.

Ride Area Access Reservations

Schedule for Saturday & Sunday, November 7 & 8

Purchase one of two sessions each day

(Ride area capacity is 300 per session)

  • 12pm to 2pm – Session 1 (Gates open at 11am, please visit the Guest Services office, located by the Giant Dipper on the street-side)
  • 2pm to 3pm – Cleaning
  • 3pm to 5pm – Session 2 (Gates open at 2:30pm, please visit the Guest Services office, located by the Giant Dipper on the street-side)
  • Guests must reserve sessions separately if you would like to attend both sessions in one day.
